From n² wiki
The n2 community is open to anyone who wishes to develop with the Talis Platform. Membership is free! All we ask is that you talk to us and tell us how we can make the Platform even better for you. We'd like you to use the Platform to build cool software so we'll do all we can to help you be successful in that.
If you want to join our community please email danny.ayers@talis.com and tell us your idea and what you need from the Platform. We'll quickly set you up and get you started using the Platform straight away.
This is what we'll do for our community members:
We'll Give You Stores - we provide community members with a free developer subscription to the Platform which entitles them to have any number of development stores. These stores support all the standard Platform services but limited in their capacity to 250,000 content items and up to one million triples. If you think you need more than this then please Contact Us and we'll see what we can do.
We'll Support You - we provide this wiki for the benefit of all community members who are invited to use it to document and discuss their projects and Platform experiences. Members may also join the discussions on the n2-dev mailing list and talk directly to the Platform developers in the #talis IRC channel.
We'll Promote You - Talis will promote community members and their projects in its Marketing campaigns including promotion on the Talis website, newsletters and print magazines. Tell us when you do something cool and we'll blog about it and link to your project every time. If you have something to say, then we'll schedule a podcast with you and syndicate it across the Web.
We'll Let You Influence The Platform - community members may have access to the Platform's issue tracking system which can be used to formally suggest features and file defect reports. Members may also vote and comment on existing issues which will influence the Platform's development priorities.
In return, we ask you to:
Tell Us What You Want - talk to us and tell us what you're trying to achieve. We'll listen to you and everything you say will be considered when we're devising new features or planning future capacity. We want you to be successful and we'll work to ensure the Platform can meet your needs.
Participate In The Community - we think that the more people that participate in the community, the better it will get for everyone. Please take the time to introduce yourself on the mailing list and here on the wiki. If you find out something about the Platform or the Semantic Web in general please feel free to update or add pages in the wiki. When you write code, consider sharing it under an open source licence so other community members can get started more quickly. Also, if you want to use the wiki as a hub for your own Platform-based project then by all means go ahead!
Build Some Cool Software - finally, and probably most importantly, we'd like you to put the Platform to work and build the best software you can. Solve some interesting problems, make people's lives better, make some money or scratch that itch! We're building the Platform to realise a vision of the Semantic Web, please help us make it a reality!
