Given that you've invested time in developing a PHP library (Moriarty) to help with building applications that use the Talis Platform, does this mean that the platform will be providing PHP hosting as well as data storage?

We don't have any current plans to do that on a widespread basis, but we are already hosting many of our own PHP applications in our datacentres. It's not inconceivable that we could share that with customers of the platform. Iand 12:29, 24 April 2008 (BST)

Given the overall context, where the Talis Platform could eventually be one of many general-purpose data stores on the web, I suppose there's no reason why any application-specific code (in, say, PHP) should be hosted in the same place as any of the data stores or web services it uses. The PHP code could go anywhere, including commercial hosting services. Where it might be useful for Talis to host the code would be when potential users of the platform are just dipping a toe in the water and want to do some prototyping. --Andyb 10:42, 25 April 2008 (BST)
